    Geir:

Your bird is sharp, well exposed, like the little spit of grass he is on.

Although the reflection isn't strong, in this image I agree with keeping it as it balances the comp.

    Cheers

That 1x.com site won't work. Even though you can set the link to point directly to the image, they have something running that redirects it to use their interface and not hotlink.

I corrected the flickr link you had in the original post....there were several imbeded IMG tags in the wrong order confusing things.

OK Geir, we can see the image and it's a beauty in my opinion, and a great first post from you. I like several things about the image- the pose and head angle, the reflection and plain background, and the colour provided by the grass, the sharpness (excellent), and the soft light. About the only thing I might change is to give the bird a bit more room at the top.

Regarding the image linking, I am not sure how Chris fixed the problem. An alternative for you is to become a BPN member for a mere $20 per year which would allow you to upload images to BPN where they would be hosted- this is one of the many advantages of being a member.

Very nice image Geir! Beautiful light and colour rendition. Compositionally, I might like a bit more room on the right and bottom of the image. Not sure if it is just an illusion, but to me, it looks like image needs a bit of clockwise rotation.

Hi Geir. This is a lovely image for the reasons already mentioned by the other commenters. Agree on giving the bird a bit more room in the frame.

Geir, welcome to BPN and what a nice image to start out with! Good sharpness on the bird at that aperture. Nice job, looking forward to more.
