    Default Ring-Necked Duck

    Hello everyone. Went out the other day and shot a couple of pics of this wonderful duck. Hope you enjoy. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
    Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - Nikon 200-400 w/1.4 tc, Exposure - 1/1600, Aperure -F5.6, ISO - 400, Exposure Bias - -2/3EV, Metering - Spot, Aperture Priority

    These ducks sure are wonderful...I got to photograph my first ones last month in Florida. I like the details and colours. Good preening pose too - the bill is quite deep into the feathers! The square comp doesn't excite me though...the image need more room above and right.

    Robert:

    I got to photograph this species last month with Daniel for the first time, and was struck by how hard it was to see the 'ring' on the neck. This is a very good display of that elusive marking.

    Sharp, well exposed, nice eye. I normally am not bothered by squarish crops, but agree with Daniel here, and would recrop. For me, come up a little from the bottom, add to the right, should work.
