Don't get me wrong. I have many good images of this pair. When we got to Venice this morning, still no light, adjusting exposure, they looked kind of good, so I decided to keep it and see if anything could come out of it.
Increased exposure at conversion, not too much, we have enough noise as it is. Crop of conversion added. ran Noise Ninja on the whole image. Selected the background and did Filter>Reduce Noise according to Axel's instructions, then ran Gaussian Blur on it twice. Another round of Noise Ninja and merged the files. Levels, adjusting the midtones for more brightness. Nik Color Effex 3.0 Dual tone filter, pink, adjusted opacity. Sized and sharpened. The full size can be printed without hesitation. Ah, I know I should have more space at the bottom :)

Great save! I always like the "hearts" that are often formed by the necks of these birds.

It was great to meet you, Al and the gang in person!

Your Photoshop work is really impressive! I really like the mood and interaction. I'm glad you made great images despite the weather.

It was better today than the other two days combined, wish you had been there. We got them under the rain, very moody.
It was great to met you and Jim :)

I'm glad you had a great morning! Near the airport I saw my first Swallow-tailed Kite, very cool bird! :)
