Pigeon's are really called Rock Doves, so the title is good.

Not an easy image to get. Good incoming pose with a great tail spread. Not crazy about the shadows on the wings nor the scraggly BG lines behind the right (our left) wing tip. I would have photographed this guy wide open with that great lens for this type of image - could have helped with the BG. Still super, you did well to track this guy and it looks very sharp as posted.

    Nico:

Good comments already. The tail flare is really good, like how distinct the under tail coverts are.

    Cheers

Nice pose. The eye is also in a bit of shadow from the eye socket. Yes to wide open. The tail seems a bit sharper than the face. EXP good. Shadows bad :)

Hey Nico, good show of the wings here, and I like this typical landing posture. This could only have been at AR.

Really nice capture of this bird, Nico! I really like the birds angle and sharpness but I do wish for a less distracting BG. Very good none the less.

Daniel, The Rock Dove has been renamed Rock Pigeon I believe.
