    Default ruddy duck hen

Damon Slough, MLK Shoreline. I know I've got a white hotspot on her chest, and the eye contact/HA is less than ideal, but it's the first one of a ruddy with good wing position I've had.

    50D + 500L f4.5 + 1.4x, with tripod & Wimberley II; ISO 800, f5.6 , 1/1000; processed in Lightroom.

Ah, don't know what I was thinking (got rushed posting this as I headed out the door last night). This is a canvasback hen, not a ruddy.

great meeting you today Allen! don't know if you got any shots of the ruddy ducks at Palo Alto - but this lady is really sweet. I wonder if you could bring out more detail in the breast with linear burn or something?

Thanks, Pat - enjoyed meeting you & Alan, too. Enjoyed seeing the gear you've got as well.

I tried to burn in Lightroom, but that was the best I could do - I think the detail is gone in that upper spot on her chest - some of the chest, it worked.
