    Default Pelican at Twilight...

I found this in my archives. I had an enjoyable evening last summer watching the sunset and shooting the various birds perched on dock pilings along the river. This pelican is one such shot.

I love silhouettes and this one is very nice. Beautiful colors and a very sharp pelican. The one nit that I have is the bill intersecting the wing.....I would prefer it separate. Did you shoot any more of this scene?

    Lana,
Thanks. Yes, I have a few different images from this evening from different points of the sunset. The image above has the bill separate from the body, but no ruffled feathers. It was a bit later too. Similar camera settings, but I did change the wb to shade for a deeper orange.

Hi Paul Do like the second pose better Again would love seeing the bill away from the body with the head turned Just like in regular images!!! The orange in this one seems to be over a bit The first one needs more density!!!

btw best not to post a new image on the same thread You can do a re-post of the original posted otherwise it can get out of hand !!!!
