Great pose, breeding plumage and BG. I find the stick covering the eye a bit distracting.

Gorgeous bird, fantastic background color. Perfect use of flash, looks really natural. To be picky, I wish the stick wasn't covering the eye. Would be interesting to see a version with the stick removed.

This is such a great image that I think it would be worth the effort to remove the stick. I would have loved to join you this morning. On my way to the airport I saw a Swallow-tailed Kite right above me. These birds are so beautiful and make me want to go back right away. :)

Very nice! I waved as I drove past the Venice Exit in the Rain this AM. I think it is worth working on the stick for sure.

I had a great time last week, Thanks!

Very nice image. The stick should go, at least over the eye. I really like the exposure and flash work. The pano crop is just right.

What a gorgeous background! Love the flight pose, and I guess I am the dissenting vote here.....I don't mind the stick... Beautiful capture Al!

    Alfred:

I liked it when you showed me the image in the camera, and it is even better here. I learned a lot yesterday at the Rookery about making the most of what is available. It was nice meeting you and Fabs. Thanks for sharing information!

I am on the road, so can't do much with my images yet, but got a few that I really like. Wish I could have stayed longer!

    Cheers

    Randy
