Fanatstic pose! Would try to fix the blown white areas on the back and neck and add some room at the bottom.

Love the pose and all the detail and sweep of the wings with Ofer on the small blown areas of white.

Love the clouds. I'm not sold on the head position. Wish it was less toward us...so we could see the eye better.

It might just be me but is there a color cast on the Egret and clouds? I like the extended wings and the detail.

    Stuart,

Lovely image. I like the feather detail and the color.

In case anyone didn't know, the raised feathers on the back of the wing are due to turbulence and generally occurs in a stall condition, so the bird is losing altitude. Of course they generally come out just fine, being masters of flight.

    Hi Stuart,

A lot to love on this one with the poetic pose, ruffled feathers and look your way. This one might turn up as a contest winner somewhere....perhaps Audubon's next round. Terrific capture.

Wonderful pose, the lighting and feather detail are great. Really like this one! Thank you for the info on the raised feathers, Roger (I didn't know).
