Hi Marc, I really like this image, especially the comp, with the other OOF Cheetah in the BG looking the other way, well timed. The hint of 'twitching' tail is a nice touch too and the colour gives it a nice overall feel. I like it as presented, but have you also tried it flipped L to R, just a thought?

Not sure if you have pushed it a little too much on the colour, as there is some banding where the light blue hits the more 'mauve' part of the horizon, especially where it peaks to the right of the main Cheetah?

    Marc,

Just tried a contrast boost and it makes this pop a lot more, the banding is a bit of a problem that may have been caused in PP as it goes around the rear Cheetahs head, rather than just along the horizon.

I think I would prefer it without the OOF Cheetah.

Hi Marc, I think this an excellent shot, showing lots of thought with your composition and positioning, and often not easy to get right in the field. Great mirror image effect, with both cheetah and the mounds, adds depth and interest in this one. I like it as is but think it would be even better with some work on the colour of FG cheetah, he looks a little bit overdone on my monitor. Well done with this
    cheers

Like the comp - agree with the banding comments.

Like the pose of the front cheetah and the mirrored OOF one in the BG.

all been said Marc - love the composition and soft light here. colours also not exactly spot on for me on the front cheetah, and a bit of contrast will work nicely, even lifting levels by about a third as it seems just a wee bit underexposed.

the banding might be the result of converting to sRGB and the way web browsers handle complex colour graduations in this colour space...though I'm not tech guru :)

You might have something there Morkel as the banding is not really evident on my original files:2

Agree with the suggestions, but have to say I really like the comp on this a lot and definitely worth fixing the band. Very nicely seen!

I like it as-is, Marc ! Much tougher in the field to get such images right.
