This is the Cheetah mum to two 11 mth old boys, just prior to a successful snack on a baby tommie. I left a little more spacing above for a reason.

    D3s 500VR +1.4tc 1/1000s ISO1600@f/7. Cropped to vertical. Masai Mara Oct 2010

    C & C most welcome

One of participant from Bandhavgarh group was shooting with D3 , Once I shoot few images with it I just want D3 or D3s NOW , 12800 ISO is standard

Excellent image Marc with great clarity , eyes are special here , Excellent work

    Marc,

Very nice indeed I always prefer a slight lookaway, rather than the direct stare liked by some.

What time of day was this?

To my eyes this looks slightly oversharpened, but nothing to worry about, as what appears sharp to me is often soft to others

Lovely portrait Marc. I tend to agree that it looks slightly oversharpened but not by much. Great background and she is one elegant lady.

Sharpness is perfect IMO. Great pose, expression and background all coming together for a great looking image.

Definitely a potential very sharp magazine cover!!

I think you nailed it on the techs and the processing.
