This is a common bird here , but this is one of the finest images I have seen in a while. The low angle and the BG make it for me.

KD, What, no wigeon??? I am stunned. Love the SH, the strips of water by the legs, the excellent head angle, and of course, the open bill. Perhaps a bit more room behind the bird???

I like the low angle, calling pose and sweet BG. I see a round ring in front of the bird near the center that I would clone out. Beautiful image Kaustubh!

I see the OOF circle Jim mentions, but what a wonderful image! Great calling pose, and your choice of vertical (in-camera?) was a good one.

Daniel, its a crop from horizontal... The gull was sipping water so I was taking horizontal shots. Since I wasn't too close, I didnt bother to make the camera vertical for this one.
