    Default Boreal Chickadee

I got out yesterday, travelling to Algonquin Park to photograph 3 very obliging, Boreal Chickadees. This image is a composite of two images...the head from one and the body from another.
Couldn't post it in Avian, so I used Topaz Clean to add texture and posted it.
I've only ever seen this species twice before and every time they are at the tops of trees, getting one at eyelevel, shows their true beauty.
This is as close to and A LA Moraldo as I've gotten

Nice use of the filter and it's a good composite. I have never seen a picture one before. We have Carolina chickadees and they are one of my favorite birds.

    Paul,

Another beauty. I'm starting to fall in love with this low contrast, soft color effect. Fantastic job on the composite. Well done.

Beautiful on all counts, especially the treatment of the perch. Plus, a great bird.

Paul, I love the effect of Topaz on this image and the soft colors make this beautiful. The framing really sets it off nicely. (And, what a gorgeous bird!!!)
