Excellent exposure control and detail. Shooting angle is a bit high. The eye looks too bright, oversharpened and oversaturated. As far as I remember the eye of this bird looks almost black.

    Jan:

I like the fluffed up pose, exposure and sharpness. Can't comment on the eye color.

I would consider cleaning up the vegetation at the top of the frame. Even though it is natural, my first thought was there were giant dust bunnies on the sensor.

If possible, a lower shooting angle would have been nice.

    Cheers

    Randy

Nice and sharp and I like the exposure.

    Composition also looks good.

The bits of dark spots above and the one just below tail feathers are a bit distracting and if mine, I would remove.

Very nice Jan. You held the detail in the whites and achieved good sharpness. I also like the pose and nice background. If mine, I would remove the blackish spots already mentioned. It appears to me that the neck and head are a bit over-sharpened.

Whites are a bit blue. Could use some off the bottom. And yes, do lose the dark marks above the bird....
