    Default Red-shoulder hawk

I shot this Hawk on a windy day with the clouds moving across the sky - the light was changing from moment to moment. As this hawk turned his head the wind blew the head fathers up.

Nice pose, eye contact and BG. I find the perch sticking out of his back a bit distracting.

Agree and might suggest less perch? Removing some from the bottom would work for me !!! Also lining up the sun behind your back would have minimized the shadow Light seems to be coming from the UR !!! Do like the image very much !!!! Excellent pose and look !!!

Nice exposure and posture for the bird. If you're into that sort of thing, I might remove the horizontal portion of the perch from the back as well as crop from the right to get rid of the bit of perch that juts upward in the LRC.

Lovely pose. The bird is well lit despite the light angle. Nice job putting the bird on the left of the frame, but you might consider cropping from the bottom.
