    Default Chesnut-breasted Coroned

This one was kind of a challange for me, as the bird would not perch anywere but in a deeply shadowed bush. Had to expose manually (now the only exposure mode i use) and resulted kind of a high key image. Used a Sb600 in order to make the iridesence to shine.

    Nikon D300s ISO800 Nikkor 70-300VR @300 F8 1/15 SB600 @1/2 Manual Exposure.

    Hope you like it,

    Cheers

    Alfredo:

Colorful fellow with nice head angle, appropriately sized perch.

Using the flash to pop the colors was a good idea, but the image is overexposed as presented.

I would try reducing the exposure at least 1/2 stop, and see how it looks.

The whited out area lower left corner is really distracting and hurts the image. What caused this?

    Cheers

    Randy
