This was full frame, but I thought it looked better as a 4x5, not sure what others think.

Great shot Kurt! Love the wings and legs spread. Not sure what others think but maybe a tad off the top and a tad more on the left as far as the crop. Great eye contact! The only thing that is catching my eye is the small brown streak in the bottom right corner, extremely easy fix. Very cool shot and unique. TFS

Killer sharpness and pose. Needs more room in front; do you have it??? The too-distinct diagonal strip above and leading to the bird's eye is distracting....

Nice light and pose, wish for more room around Crane agree with the diagonal intersecting the head being a distraction

Excellent light, pose, bird angle and sharpness. Some CW rotation and more room in front will make it better...if u have that much room, of course. Stunning shot, nevertheless.

Fantastic! Would prefer to see this as a horizontal with more room on the sides.

A very unique and stunning pose. Good for you to capture it.

I like the comments about cleaning up a few spots and adding a touch more room at front.

    Nice and sharp.

    Kurt:

The lighting on the bird is great, sharp, well exposed.

For my taste, def. needs more room front and below, and I would smooth out the line intersecting the head.

The sandhills showed up here last week (Michigan).

I have a little more room in front. This was at the outer pools at Bosque in weekend of February 11th.
