    Captured in February and posted in March, I hope it fits eye level down the barrel. From the icy morning at Alan Murphy's Roma workshop.

    D300, Nikon 200-400 @ 400, 1/320, f/5, ISO 640, tripod mounted

    Minimal processing in LR, exposure & blacks for white and black points, exposure brush to darken breast, clarity & vibrance +20, sharpening & luminance NR about 40, crop.

    Even his feet look iced over! I like the perch and eye contact and BG.

    It's about time you took the plunge and posted some images Alan! Love the composition and the icy perch. The muted colors work well. I also like the puffed up feathers. I only wish the bird had been looking at you.

    A nice image. Beautiful delicate perch! BG is nice too. Agree with Doug re eye contact.

    Fits the theme perfectly! I love the pose, the perch, the BG. I even like the bluish cast on the subject, something I normally don't but it matches the coldness of the icy branches :-)
