    7d, 500mm + 1.4ext, 1/500 @ 6.3, iso 320. EV + 1/3.

    I love shorebirds and the EXP here is good. This one however has to go down as an almost.... Focusing on small groups of shorebirds in flock is problematic at best and here none of the birds are razor sharp.... The 2nd and the 4th from our left are close to being sharp and have nice wing positions. Alas.... In addition, the flock was flying away from you. Parallel to your position would have been best for the dorsal views.

    I see what you mean Arthur. I guess after 30 years you know what you are talking about.

    I'll put this down to experience - I'll have to get back there soon then.

    Cool Tom, I like seeing RNS images no matter what they are like. The colour of the Stints doesn't look quite right though, they look a bit browner than what they should be.

    Thanks for understanding and having an open mind :) Larger groups in flight are easier to photograph as they present a more solid flat surface for AF especially when the bank. Great plan on getting back there!
