These birds can be tricky to expose correctly!

Good job on the exposure and the clouds are a nice touch. You got a perfect wingspread here. The only bummer is the slight head turn away.

    Keep them coming Morkel!

Very nice light under the wings Mokel. Great EXP and I like that we can see all of the feathers nicely outstretched.

The head might go a little more USM as it appears softer than the wings for instance.

    Cheers

    Morkel:

The clouds add a lot, much greater sense of depth than plain sky BG.

    Nice wing display.

I am not sure if the head is really less sharp, or just that it is so dark and almost featureless, that it appears so.

    Agree about the head turn.

    cheers

Beautiful light and wing spread. Love the clouds and slightly open bill. Head seems a bit dark. JR

nice wing positions and light, a slight head turn towards the viewer would have been ideal.

    Nice one Mork.
Any thought of moving to manual exposure yet?

Beautiful light and details on the wing. Sky does add a lot.

Yip Morkel that is what I mean.
Should be a lot of info on this site and you can google manual exposure as well.

IMG is well exposed with great detail and the clouds adds to the shot. Well done Morkel

    thanks Nico

Dave - do you use it? I've always been happy with using either Tv or Av, I use full manual for landscape work...
