    Default Great crested grebe

It's time for the grebes to pick out a partner and perform their mating rituals.

    Thijs:

Very attractive bird, nice display, nice head angle, position in frame.

I might be tempted to do a very minor crop up from the bottom.

My first thought was that the image was a little dark, but I suspect the whites won't tolerate much increase in the exposure. The blacks on the back of the neck do look blocked.

Look forward to more of this lovely species.

    Cheers

    Randy

Killer pose and bird. Love the low angle. Yes to too dark and a crop from the bottom.

Amazing pose, love the symmetry in the wings and the low angle capture. Agree about trying to lighten the image a bit and crop some off the bottom. I also might add a little room at the top.
