Thanks Morkel... I was in the vehicle. It was just before the major rains we had in the end of Dec and beginning Jan so the grass was very short ( I miss that short grass) you must see the grass now. As tall as me in some places, and you know how tall I am..This girl was looking at something but not sure what, there is a thicket where she was looking! She just last week started showing the vehicles her cubs, we saw them at a ostrich she killed about 10 days ago. ( And the grass was too long to get any pics)

I like the pose with the raised paw and focused look. Nice detail on her. Also like the color and detail of the grass. Tighter pano crop to eliminate the lighter portion could be another option although I kind of like the subtle shadowed/bright look (clouds, shade from trees, or variation in grass?)

Lovely portrait of a very pregnant lioness with something extra provided by her pose. Love the light in her eye.

    Dumay,

Great image, I might take a little from the top,

With all the rain you have been having, I suppose the grass is not getting shorter, hope you can get some images of the cubs.

Dumay - she really stands out against the bright green grass. I like the bent paw and the comp. Hope you get some shots of the cubs.

    Rachel
