    For me personally, I am not sure about the amount of headroom in the picture. As the OOF BG is kind of competing for the viewers attention in this photo.

    I prefer the cropping in your repost, image pane 3. The water has a lovely "chrome & blue" tones to it. The lighting is very nice. I may have also experimented with different photos to get a wider range of poses for the geese.

    I would've loved to but a group of mallards came in and when I came back down they were back in the water! :)

    I know the feeling, it feels like sometimes we need like 5 cameras setup ready to fire to get all the locations that are looking good.

    The birds looks sharp and well exposed to me. Good headangle on the bird closest.

    Personally I am however not too keen on the background, i.e. I think the patterns in the water formed from the reflections isn't very pleasing.

    Agree with the above comments. It would have been preferable to have some eye contact in the lefthand bird. I notice some chromatic aberration around the head and neck of the birds (reddish and blueish halo). You can remove this in post-processing.
