How any critter survives the winter in Yellowstone is amazing to me.

Ross, I live the frost cover, the head-on look and the far off BG. I just wish that closer tree was not right behind him.

Wonderful image, I'm not usually a fan of centered composition but here is an example where it works perfectly. Great techs as well and that's not easy to do with a dark bison and bright snow

Great image here, but I am concerned about the eyes in particular the one on the Bison's left.

    Have you lightened them?

Love the image, feel cold just looking at it. Would agree with Ken that there appears to be something a little odd with the bison's eyes. Nice detail across the bison and the snow.

awesome textures, crisp details, great exposure...
the head-on stare is very imposing, and the eyes bore into me. ditto on the tree but it doesn't really detract from the impact of this shot, well done!

    Ross,

Way to go buddy!!!!!!! One of the best bison images I have had the pleasure of viewing.
I am very glad we got those two very cold days and the chance to shoot these magnificent critters in fresh snow. This one should sell well for you.

    Oh and love the post-processing

Best and see you again in Sept.
