    Default Cowbird Revisited

I posted this as a non-theme image without looking ahead to this week's theme. This was my re-working of the image which came late and many probably never saw it. I selected the bird and branch and placed it on a textured background and added a 2nd texture to the background and over the branch. I removed the branch behind the bird's head and lightened the corners a bit.

Judy, I think this works well for the theme. Lovely work w/ the texture overlay and the image composition.

Beautiful work. When you selected, did you use a mask?

Thanks Hazel. I used the quick selection tool. It works well when you have a high contrast background of just light sky. I also used refine edge brush around the edges in a few places.

    Judy,

Beautiful work on the re-post. Were those fine threads of bark on the branch part of the mask? You did an exceptional job with the selection tool but the addition of those threads takes it to another level. Well done.

Excellent work, Judy! Even more beautiful than your original image.

Thanks Richard. They were selected with the tool and refine edge brush.
