    Focus point was on the compound eyes. Cropped ca. 20%. While the butterfly is level, the cone flower is slanted down. Not sure if this detracts from the composition?

    Canon 300mm f/4 L IS lens + 1.4X TC and EOS 1DM3; ISO 800; AV, Evaluative metering =0; 1/300s at f7.1; Gitzo 1325 tripod and Wimberley II head.

    Great image the way it is, would it be better with a 10% level flower, yes, but it looks very nice as is. The BG is superb..focus is right on.

    I like the focus on the eye. The flower tilt doesn't bother me. It loks a bit hot on my monitor.
