    Not quite sure if this meets the criteria of the theme, since he is looking a bit down. But then, you might be looking a bit down if you had to stand too long on that icy perch.

    Great shot - the icicles on the perch really make it. I like the uplifted tail, too. The image has a very wintery feel to it. Would have preferred to have the bird looking directly at the viewier, though.

    Very cool setting, love the perch, BG, and of course the Song Sparrow...a species that I am anxious to hear again in a bout a month or so!!

    Not quite straight down the barrel, but interesting pose and I like its' unconventional placement within the frame...it works well with the icicles and angle of the branch. In a perfect world the two icicles at right would be sharper. Good stuff!
