    The image is a bit soft as the boat what was used to mount the tripod was very shaky.

    Hi Ram, good timing here to capture it at the point of lift off. I like the small drops of water flying off its feet. Background is nicely blurred. A faster shutter speed and higher iso setting would have helped with sharpness here as the birds movement has caused it to blur whilst the perch looks sharp. Also some of the white areas look a bit too hot on my monitor.
    Keep them coming

    Ram;

    Good points from Grant. I generally shoot at 1/1000s or faster if I think a bird might fly. Higher ISO would have been a good choice here. I can deal with noise better than motion blur.

    Nice background, good timing.

    Whites do look hot.

    Cheers

    I thought the exif looked odd for what appears to be strong light. Low and behold the embedded exif reads 1/500s. f/4, +0.3 EC, ISO 200...so indeed a higher ISO was what was needed here. Good timing on your part and I love the talons and bits flying off of them, but bummer about the clipped wingtip and head turning away.
