I like the symmetry of this composition and the intense stare.

This image was created with the Canon 800mm f/5.6L IS lens, and the EOS-1DMIV. ISO 400. Evaluative metering: 1/1600 sec. at f/8 set manually.

    Thanks for looking.

I like how the twist in the neck contrasts with the straight bill. The intense eyes really add to the image. Great image Clemens!

Wonderful stare Clemens. Love the "S" curve of the neck.

The head on view and intense eyes are great but agree the curved neck puts it over the top!
    Congrats!

    Clemens:

Very appropriate for the theme, and like the others, I was struck by how much the s curve in the neck adds to the image.

    Good techs, strong graphics !

    Cheers

Wow Clemens as straight down the barrel as you can get. I like the design and conception of the image and as all have remarked the curved neck is a winner. Exposure nicely managed in what seems to be pretty bright light. Well captured.

I sound like a broken record but, yes, the curve of the neck sets this apart for me. Well done!

As already pointed out the neck's curvature really makes this a standout image. Incidentally, it BREAKS the symmetry of the image (in a good and interesting way)!
