Nice feather detail, flash helped fill in shadows

I would probably consider darkening the small light spots above his head.

The bottom of the perch and area around your sig on the left looks a bit odd, as if there was OOF vegetaion or some post work done there.

The head turn helps with the steep angle. I find the different color eyes a bit distracting. Nice sharp detail.

Very serious look in his face. Beautiful details in the back feathers. Looks like there is some color smudging on the left eye, bill and forehead. To me the BKGD seems not realistic as it is too smooth. Did you do something in PP?

Very cool shot Kerry, and awesome looking hawk. Like the head-on downward stare with head turned 180. Great texture and paterns on the upper back too. Is one eye shaded or does it really have two different color eyes? Nice job!

Super cool pose. I have not seen this with hawks. Nice color and detail. I might have been tempted to stand him up straighter.

Wow, their heads really can go all the way around. Some Owl genes in there for sure! As mentioned there is good detail in the feathers but the different coloured eyes are distracting.

Thanks everyone! Regarding the eyes, I did not alter the eye colors, this is how it looked.

As for the bg, I did perform a twigectomy and I did this two years ago before I learned on BPN how to do a better job.
