This Wood Stork showed great determination in its attempts to collect this branch to the point it begin flying up to break it free. It reminded me of folks trying to secure plywood here in Florida when a hurricane is approching.

I love the action and the blurred wingtips. The iridescent flight feathers are beautiful. Exposure is dead on. A little more room on the right and top would be nice but that's a nit. The photos seems to be a big crop. It's too bad the eyes aren't more visible. But, bottom line, I wish this were in my portfolio.

Thanks Lee, not much room left top and right, he about jumped out of the frame. From the top of the tree to the side in an instant. I tries to bring the eye out as much as I could, but it just isn't there. :( You are correct on the crop.

Hi Jack !!!! Love the action those birds are determined !!!

Would try waiting for better light before going after these guys I know is a temptation at the Farm but its a must These guys are very predictive and try setting up and nailing your image

You did manage a good exposure Would suggest more room the bird looks cramped Framing wise having the bird in all sky looks great !!! btw a bunch of us from BPN will be at the Farm on May 3rd !!!!
