Default Anhinga Portrait - Ding Darling

    Hi There

Not posted here for a while as work has got in the way... and most of my subjects are captive...so not deemed as proper wildlife photography.

However I was fortunate enough to have a weeks holiday recently on Captiva Island and was at Ding Darling most mornings.

This shot is of an Anhinga perched on a branch with deeply shaded Mangroves behind making an almost black background.

    Hope you like

Lovely colors, detail and comp against the dark bg. A bit of head turn would put this over the top.

    John:

Nice portrait shot, agree with Bill about head turn. Detail, colors, BG work well.

    Cheers

Beautiful portrait, sharp, great detail and the bird looks great with the dark BG.

Loved the sharpness and the pop. Liked your composition a lot too.

Awesome BKGR and detail. As mentioned a slight head turn would improve this. But I still thing it's a great image!

Great shot, the black background really sets off the feathers, love it!
