Nice work Karen!
Your owl really stands out well against the pretty, pastel background, and the pose is most interesting.It's too bad though that the owl did not cooperate more by showing us a bit more of that other eye! That would have been truly spectacular!
One thing you might consider is adding just a little more headroom if possible. But TFS!
