    Denise:

Really soft light that day, revealing nice, subtle details in the plumage which are often lost on brighter days. Nice angle in frame, look of concentration, sharpness on head/eye. Agree about DOF, but the light that day didn't give a lot of flexibility!

    Cheers

    Randy

Nice sharpness, good detail in the whites, and I like the crop with inclusion of the tops of both legs. A bit more DOF would have helped, as you pointed out.

Can't argue with any of the comments. I really, really like the softness of this Denise, it's a very compelling image in my mind.

Nice one, Denise. I love the full-frame comp. In a way, I think the partial soft focus works well with the soft light and colors. Sharp where needed.

Lovely soft light Denise, and I do like the sharpness on the bill and eye. A different pose from the norm. Well captured.

Denise, I love the pose and the egret looks great against the water. Very nicely done!
