    Default Palm Tree Selection

I used the good old fashioned selection tool in PS. I created the gradient on a separate layer and then masked in my palm tree. The BG bottom was cluttered. I used several layers at reduced opacity to create the top area and then finished off the image w/ Flaming Pears Swerve.

original capture was with the 15mm fisheye lens.

Very creative, Denise. I love this fish-eye perspective of the tree. The gradient bg is beautiful but the flaming pear effect takes it over the top!

Thanks for the example of selection, denise. Love the desert colors and "morning at the oasis" feel.

Love this one Denise, you got a real "California dreamin'" feel going on. Detail like this always makes for a challenge no matter what method you use to select it. Nice work and I love that swervy filter...

I love the fisheye view. Nice work on the tree selection and background. The swerve filter rocks!
