Taken feeding as soon as the birds can get in after a tide change. It was a cold morning with a bitter wind blowing, and the birds are very hungry.

    Dave,
What was your exposure mode and exposure bias value?

The image is sharp and well exposed with good placement in the frame.

IMO a lower perspective and a warmer color temperature would make this a stronger image.

    Hi James,

I was in Av mode at +1.

I was a bit off the light angle on a kind of overcast day. I did warm the bird up a bit but did not want to go too far. Thanks for the comment about that.

Too cold to get lower. I was on my knees but wearing gloves. As it was I had to stop for my fingers.

In April when the Western Sandpipers are passing through and birds are in colour I will get as low as I can.

Dave, Nice sharpness. I'm ok w/ the angle and I like the pose. I might warm it up a bit too.

Great feeding behaviour image, and I love the angled near leg. Although you levelled it, it still seems to me that it could use a minimal amout of CCW rotation?

    Thanks Denise and Daniel.

It was a tough one to level as not much to work with, but I think Daniel may be right.

I'll adjust a bit when I warm it up.

Nice feeding shot indeed, sharpness and feather detail is very nice. Agree with Daniel a touch CCW rotation is required.
