    Default Scratching the surface

    Folks,

Greetings. Can't say I completely understand the theme, but... here's my attempt:

Interpreted the theme as starting off with a covering layer and revealing the underlying layer through painting on a mask. Some color problems with the initial image were fixed with a monochrome layer (or two). An odd assortment of brushes gives the texture.

As an aside... replaced motherboard, memory, power supply and graphics cards on my machine. After processing my first image (this one to post) the jpeg and the previews in LR and PS all looked markedly different. :2 ... Oh, that's right, better calibrate the monitors...

    Thanks for looking...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Michael, I like your interpretation of the theme. Nice action and pose. I might try to even out the light on the bird a little if it were mine. Sounds like you have had your hands full!

Michael, I too like the action and pose... very nice. Agree with Denise on evening out the light on the egret.
