    Default Bison in the mist

Disappearing into the mist, the American Bison. Herds once covered a large part of the North American Continent. Now, their numbers are few. I see this animal as an icon for all the good things that are disappearing...

Nik CFX Pro "blur vignette" with some blur tool to blend in the beast to the bg, then Topaz Clean for the simplified look. From Yellowstone NP.

    Beautiful, Kerry. TFS.

I'll be in Yellowstone this June. Hoping to see a few of these wonderful animals!

I remember you posting this one before as a B&W. It looks very nice with the topaz effect. Nice work!

Kerry, I remember this one too. A nice effect from the Clean Filter.

I am so thoroughly impressed with Topaz Labs. I think the first one I bought was "Simplify", which I'm still learning to use, and I was so impressed with it that I kept buying new ones until I had them all (except for DeJPEG which I don't care about). It is great to play around with the presets and find some great looks, but the real power is in resetting all the sliders and figuring out what they do. When you do that you will find that you can get exactly the look you are going for more often than not.

Disclaimer - not only do I not work for Topaz Labs, but they won't even put any of my pics in their gallery!

Nice work on the bison! You really are getting the most out of Topaz filters. I might add back a little detail to the tops of the horns, but it's fine as it is.

Kerry, love the effect you have created with the filters here. I will have to start playing around with some of these filters. Nice work!
