    Bill-really like the curved perch as it adds energy to the stepping pose. Open beaks helps as well. BK color compliments the bird nicely. Probably just my monitor, but the area around the eye doesn't seem to be super sharp. Always enjoy viewing your images--thanks. Alex

    I like the way you caught him in mid-step, it gives a sense of action.

    Yup, looks like a balance beam to me. I like the DOF, BG and beautiful feather detail. Colors are sweet and the open beak adds to the intent of this bird. TFS

    Very nice, Bill. I might tone down the top section of the limb a bit as it is drawing my eye up and out of the frame. Everything else works for me!

    Great pose with raised foot and open bill. A very handsome capture. In a perfect world I might have wished for a bit of head-turn.
