    Hamilton Mountain, Ontario, Canada

    Nikon D300 ,Nikkor 200-400mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S VR ,1.4 TC
    1/640s f/8.0 at 550.0mm iso250

    hand held from f150 blind, natural light, vertical crop
    basic PS

    Learning this birds habits has been a blast this winter, and getting the timing right for a lift off shot has not come easy., and unfortunatly I was still set up for still images when he decided to go!., o well, just happy I didn't clip the wings.

    I have to agree with Fab on this one. I wish for just a hair more space on top.

    Well, you couldn't ask for an easier image to add canvas on top of!! Wish the face was brighter, and with a catchlight. Wonderful timing, and yes the branches frame the photo nicely!

    Lovely image and the high key work is extremely nice, great exposure. I do wish for a touch of fill-flash to provide some texture or catch-light in the eye. Nice work.
