    Default Long Lost Brothers !!

I was lucky to make a trip to the famous Dhikala Grassland in Jim Corbett National Park . The youngsters in the elephant herd were so mischievious , that you would spend most of the time just watching their antics !! Captured these two young guys in a moment of fun .

Camera : Canon 1D Mk III
    Lens : Canon 600mm f4 Is
    Aperture : f10
    Shutters : 1/200
    ISO : 320

    Cheers,
    Rakesh

Lovely interaction between the elephants here. The dirt on the backs is different. You have a good depth of field and I like the green grass. The heavy white caption is very distracting from what is a really nice photograph.

Very nice image, but you must remove the caption.

Nice soft colours and good sharpness, I might take a little room from the top to eliminate as much as possible of the darker grass/reeds.

Great interaction between these two, and it certainly commands the 'cute' factor.

Light, colour and detail looks good and the addition of dry grass on the backs is a nice touch. Love the little tuffs of hair on the head. A tender moment, shot in a natural and reflective setting, like it as presented.

    Rakesh,

I like the mood you caputured here and how well the surroundings accentuate this mood (background is undistracting and the grass they are in pleasant looking).

I like your use of f/10 to get a good DOF. I am wondering as to why ISO 320 and the low shutter speed. I have a Mark III and will use it at ISO 800 without worry. This will give you higher shutter speed. 1/200 speed is too slow for action in my opinion. However your image is very sharp so no problem here.

I wold move the species I'd to the lower left corner.

Nice work and glad t see you posting here.

Nice tender moment captured. Techs look good. Agree with Ken on removing some from top but would also take some from lhs (to equal distance on rhs). Well done.

Dhikala is magical place Rakesh. Nice image. However the title position is a bit distracting IMO

stunning moment here Rakesh! the light is super too

I kind of agree with Ken to crop from the top as those reds in the BG tend to draw the eye, but then you also lose the elephants being on the rule-of-third horizontal line
