    Default Harlequin Ducks in Flight

Well, this image is a heartbreaker--but I am going to put it up anyway. :) I had my ISO too low--and my little buddies here took off unexpectedly---slow shutter and shallow dof are not making this the image that it might have been (and the other frames as they were coming too me) But, hope you enjoy these beauties anyway!

oh Bonnie, what head positions and wings down with little curl on the tips....a heartbreaker for you I know.

But next time they will be on approach and turned a bit more toward you and ss and aperture will be perfect

Oh sorry to hear the story this happens to everyone if it makes you feel any better. Its only happened to me maybe 10,000 times :)

I like the image as is but you are right about the settings.

I can see haloing, after you run USM just use a later mask to mask out the white patches and avoid the haloing. Or protect these areas with a quick mask.

Bonnie I like this as posted. Harlequins are one of my favourite ducks and you've captured two drakes for the price of one.
