Estero Lagoon offers spectacular colours in the water during the evening. I love the play between the golden/blue water, and the golden light on the Great-Blue Heron.

    Daniel:

The colors of gold and blue play well with the heron. I like the windblown plumes and head angle.

One of the things I noticed on my images from that area was that the illumination on the birds was somewhat uneven, as if some clouds were causing dappled light.

The chest looks brighter to my eye than the head. Perhaps a reflection effect as well.

    Just a magic place.

    Cheers

    Randy

Lovely evening light on the Heron Daniel and agree with you it has produced a nice effect on the water. For that reason I might consider a pano crop (if you have more room) to emphasize the evening scene.

Lovely light and colors. Does it need a CW rotation? JR

Beautiful image and light. I have slowly started processing the images from that evening.

Now that Randy mentions, I do see some uneven light on few of my images. I was thinking it was probably a shadow from one of us!

A pleasing image indeed. I like the light and framing. It does need some CW rotation and I think it can be a bit brighter as in this repost.
    Cheers,

Thanks Ofer. He was leaning back naturally, but the rotation does improve the image .
