Not what I hoped for but the best I got in a week-end of shooting. Shot in Italy with Nikon D3s + 400/2.8 VR +1.4 TC at 1/640 f5.6 -2/3 @ 800iso. Thanks for looking, Giulio

    Giulio:

Nice little fellow, colorful, sharp, well exposed.

Interesting perch, crop keeps it from being overpowering.

I would consider a crop down from the top, don't feel all the negative space adds a lot, even though I like the color.

Perhaps just a bit brighter for my tastes.

    Cheers

Nice shot of this beauty. You did well with what looks like poor light. Agree with Randy about cropping off the top to balance the composition. Would add some room at the bottom if you got it as the perch looks nice.

Excellent image overall, but I agree with the cropping/composition options given (although as is would be perfect for a magazine title).

You still did better in a weekend than some in a year. Very nice agree with crop mentioned above and lightening a bit but overall still very nice. Very nice soft lighting and bg.
