    Pieter:

Sure fits the theme. Excellent sharpness, feather detail, really nice eye.

For my tastes it could go a bit brighter.

    BG color complimentary

    Cheers

Like the feather detail on the back and the eye. Sharp with 1/80, well done.

Great pose! Love the complimentary background. I'd definitely go brighter though.

Good incoming pose, and sharp considering subject movement at that SS. You could go a tad brighter, and I would see if warming up the WB a bit would improve overall colours.

Thank you for your comments and feedback. Much appreciated.

Here is the reworked image a little lighter and applied some warming filter.

Apologies seem to have uploaded the same image, anyway the reworked image is an improvement and I won't do another upload. Thanks for your help.

Hi Pieter, your repost does work so much better, it has brought out the colours on the feathers nicely. IMHO, I would have just lightened the spurwing and left the BG as the original. Great low perspective capture BTW.

I agree with Stuart - the repost definitely works better for me as well. The bill and feather details really stand out now.

    thanks

Depends on the mood you are trying to create with this shot, orignal and repost are both nice. As Clemens noted, sure is sharp for 1/80 and great to have beanbag.
