I am a retired epidemiologist. I started bird photography in 2005 when there was a Great Grey Owl incursion in this area. First camera was the Nikon D100 and the 80-400 VR zoom lens. Now using the Canon 7D, 70-200/4, 300/4 and 500/5.6 lenses.

Thanks! Yes, that was fun seeing the NHO...amazing bird esp. its speed. Checked your site for Northern Goshawks....they are at the top of my most-wanted bird picture list.

You have some great bird photos on your site! My wife and I stayed on Sanibel Island a year ago and just loved the Roseate Spoonbills and other birds we saw there and on Merritt Island.
