    I really like the softness of the BG and light, it makes the image very serene.

    What are the shooting details, Carel? Would be helpful if you post these as well in order to give proper feedback. The OOF bottom part of the perch is a little distracting to me. You might be able to crop that out, and remove a part with a quick mask in photoshop. Would have been nice if the perch and feet were a little sharper. BKG is nice and soft. HA is okay but not perfect.

    Carel, Thanks for the tech details.

    HA = Head Angle (de hoek van de kop van de vogel ten opzichte van de achterkant van de camera sensor.

    De HA moet ongeveer 2 tot 3 graden naar je toe gedraaid zijn om een "perfecte" hoek te krijgen. Arthur Morris heeft hier het e.e.a. over geschreven. De moeite om te lezen. Zie the sticky bovenaan de forum pagina.

    If you would have stopped down a little ( e.g. F8) the feet and perch might have rendered a little sharper.

    Beautiful bird, and the soft colours are very appealing. I'm OK with the DOF, but I agree about the bottom part of the perch and the head angle which I would have preferred turned a bit less than as is. Wondeful BG!
