    Default Brown Pelican blur

Another one from SWF IPT... I kept the focus on the head as the bird approached for landing. The pelicans were baited with fish. The settings were -

    7D, EF 70-200 F4 IS + 1.4x @ 129mm
1/15 sec, f/14 Mode: Tv Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: +2/3 ISO: 100 (auto)

Adjusted for saturation, level and selective color. Hope you like it...

Beautiful, Indranil! The motion, composition, amount of blur, and detail in the head are all just perfect.

    Indranil,

Did you clone out the ski tow rope?

The tight crop works for me. Beautiful blur in the wings and good job at keeping the head and eyes sharp. Love the moment of capture.

If it were mine I might try either increasing the contrast slightly or the saturation. Well done.

Indranil, Nice job w/ the amount of blur and the action captured. Nice details in the head, maybe a tiny tiny bit tight but you did a great job framing it. Well done.

Perfectly captured with a nice combination of detail in the head and blurring. I agree with Richard that I would like to see a little more contrast or color saturation but I like it very much as presented.

Indranil, you did a great job of keeping the head in focus while you panned! Blur looks great and I love the action.

Indranil, a perfect blur and the pose is great! He definitely looks like he's skiing.
