    Laguna Seca Ranch, South Texas

    D3, 300, ISO 1000, f5, 1/5000.

I'm loving shooting these small birds in flight. Heading back with my workshop participants to this great ranch in a couple of weeks for more perched and flight work.

Hi Alan, superb image. Not sure about the D3, but with the D3S, you could have used an even higher ISO and so been able to play with SS and DOF.

Just took another long look at this stunning shot. What about the catchlight in the eye? Could it be a pixel or two too loud?

    Hey Craig,

The catchlight is natural and will sometimes look stronger after jpeg compression and sharpening for web. Thanks.
