Default Old Postcard - Cedar Key

I've been so fascinated with Christopher's 'old' textures that I thought it would be interesting to try to create an old postcard. The original was taken while I was visiting Cedar Key on Friday. I converted it to black & white, applied two different textures and blurred it just a bit.

It wasn't until after I finished this that it occurred to me that it isn't cropped properly for a postcard (the vintage postcards I have measure about 5.5 x 3.5 - this is 5.5 x 3.35)

    Comments appreciated!

Maureen, I think you nailed the look. I like the text in the LLC and think it adds to the effect. The tears and low contrast seem great to me.

Excellent aging, Maureen! Looks exactly like a real old postcard. Glad I could inspire you.

Just out of curiosity, what textures did you use? I think I recognize one from Shadowhouse Creations in there.

Maureen, good plan well executed! Looks great to me and I think the postal service would still deliver it.

Maureen, this looks so authentic. I love Cedar Key and this looks just like it must have looked 100 years ago. Nice work

Thanks Denise, Christopher, Judy, Steve, Indranil, Kerry, Richard and Cheryl

Cheryl, I love Cedar Key too. Lots of scrub jays around there right now.
