    Taken from a small boat on the New River near Lamanai, Belize in Feb.

    D300, Tamron 200-500, hand-held, just after the bird had flown onto the branch with what looked like a snail.

    Exposure time: 1/5000 s
    F number: 6.3
    Exposure program: Aperture priority
    ISO speed rating: 1250

    Nice composition and pose,I would prefer a better eye contact

    Very cool perch and pose is great, but Manos is right about the eye contact.

    Also you can tone down the blue saturation in the sky to help with the electric blue color of the sky to make the color look more realistic.

    Great find, I like the raised foot and wish for better eye contact. The perch looks very bright on my monitor.

    Thank you - your points are well taken, - I couldn't do much about the eye contact, as the bird was looking at its prey, but if it's OK in this forum, I would like to re-post the image with the relevant colors improved (I'm rather new here, so I hope it's OK to re-post).
